Before entering into the teaching on submission, God released a word:
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” — Isaiah 43:19
God specializes in sudden shifts. Even when the year seems to be closing, His promises do not expire. His timing is perfect, and His faithfulness ensures that not a single word from Him falls to the ground.
Your life is not an accident. You are not randomly placed in your country, city, or family.
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you… I appointed you.” — Jeremiah 1:5
God has placed a divine calling on your life. You are His masterpiece, uniquely created for impact. But every calling requires training. The greater the calling, the deeper the training.
God uses leaders as instruments of training, shaping, and equipping.
“I will give you shepherds after My own heart.” — Jeremiah 3:15
“…He gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip the saints.” — Ephesians 4:11–12
Calling alone is not enough. Training requires submission, and submission requires humility. You can be around great leaders yet never receive impartation unless your heart is submitted.
True submission is strength directed, not strength diminished.
Fire under control warms; fire without control destroys. In the same way, gifts, emotions, and ambitions under God’s authority produce blessing. Outside His authority, they create chaos.
Every major figure in Scripture walked through a season of submission before stepping into authority:
“He went down with them… and was subject to them.” — Luke 2:51
If Jesus Himself embraced submission, how can we avoid it?
“Let every person be subject to governing authorities…” — Romans 13:1
Authority and leadership are God’s design. Submission is not about people; it is about God. When you submit to a leader, you are trusting your life to God’s placement.
Even imperfect leaders are used by Him. David refused to harm Saul because he understood Saul’s position came from God.
“I will not put my hand against my lord, for he is the Lord’s anointed.” — 1 Samuel 24:10
Submission is trusting God’s timing more than your desire for control.
Romans 13 reveals that leaders are God’s servants for your good. They are a shield, a covering, and a guidance system.
Stepping out of submission is stepping out of covering.
Just as removing traffic lights creates chaos, resisting authority brings confusion. The enemy himself fell because he rejected God’s authority.
Under submission, there is clarity. Outside submission, there is confusion.
“Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may lift you up in due time.” — 1 Peter 5:6
The “hand of God” is often His appointed leadership over your life.
The way up in the kingdom is down—humility, honor, and servanthood.
Elisha received Elijah’s mantle because he stayed submitted.
Many desire mantles without submitting to anyone. But grace flows through honor, not independence.
The centurion said:
“I too am a man under authority… and I say, ‘Go,’ and he goes.” — Matthew 8:9
Jesus called this “great faith.”
Authority flows through submission.
If you are not under authority, you cannot walk in authority.
Heaven backs the words of those who walk under covering.
Submission is not outward performance—it is inward posture.
You can obey with your actions but rebel in your heart. God sees the posture, not just the action.
Philippians shows us Christ’s example:
“He humbled Himself and became obedient…” — Philippians 2:5–8
True submission is joyful obedience, not duty-driven compliance.
Dishonor cuts off the flow of blessing. Familiarity with leaders robs impartation. Your pastor’s voice should never become casual to you.
Everything God gives you—guidance, protection, direction, impartation—flows through the shepherd He placed over your life.
God places you in a house, not for convenience but for destiny.
Your breakthrough, covering, and impartation flow through the leaders God has assigned to you.
YouTube cannot pastor you. A conference pastor cannot shepherd you.
Your local shepherd is God’s appointed covering for your life.
Be planted. Stay submitted. Walk in honor. Your destiny depends on it.
